WHAT IS THE MESA CLUB?

The Cubberley MESA Club is for students in middle school (grades 7 & 8) who like math and science. Students meet weekly to create hands-on projects using math and science skills, in cooperation with California State University, Long Beach. The club meets after school on Tuesdays from 3:20 - 4:30 pm. 6th Grade MESA is taught as an elective course during the school day.

MESA students collaborate with each other to design, construct, and test their projects at Cubberley. Teams then have the opportunity to compete against  students from other participating middle schools in their local and regional MESA centers.
